A Toowoomba mother who relied on the “hand of God” to heal her unwell daughter has been jailed for endangering the 6-12 months-old girl’s existence.
The 46-12 months-aged woman, who are unable to be named for legal motives, was billed in 2019 with failing to provide the necessaries of existence, right after her daughter was taken to Toowoomba Foundation Hospital’s crisis office in an unresponsive state.
The Toowoomba District Court heard the girl experienced to be resuscitated by hospital staff, was really pale and weighed just 13.4 kilograms when she was brought in by her father.

“You failed to seek [medical attention] for [your daughter] when it was obviously necessary,” Judge Rosengren claimed.
“You extended her suffering needlessly.
The woman’s 49-12 months-outdated spouse was provided a 6-month suspended sentence in excess of the same situation earlier this year.
She was jailed for 18 months and will be qualified for parole immediately after serving 5 months.
